Here’s a glimpse into his remarkable journey: Military and Law Enforcement Service: Barry served in the NY Army National Guard 42nd Infantry Division Scout Platoon in Patchogue, NY and the 340th Military Police in Jamaica, Queens NY. His commitment extended to the 106th Security Police in Westhampton Beach, NY. He was a member of the Emergency Services Team, he earned sniper certification from the FBI and Suffolk County Police. Barry’s path led him to the United States Secret Service, where he protected Presidents Bush and Obama at the White House. He also ventured into multiple Middle Eastern war zones during his career. Authorship and Advocacy: In 2013, he authored the book “TWA Flight 800 First Responder Witness Account,” recounting his actions during the rescue of TWA Flight 800 on July 17th, 1996. Celebrity Author Barry Donadio will be conducting a signing and book release for his second book “That Day When Hell Froze Over”. On July 17th, 1996 Barry Donadio was one of the first responding Emergency Medical Technicians that responded to the crash of TWA Flight 800 on the night of the incident. He was a member of the East Moriches Community Ambulance. 17 years after the crash, Donadio published his first book "TWA Flight 800 First Responder Witness Account". It is the only book written by someone who was actually at the scene of the rescue and recovery efforts on the night of the crash. On the 20th anniversary of the the TWA Flight 800 crash, Donadio led events for persons effected by the crash to various memorial sights and the U.S. Coast Guard Station where he responded to attempt to save victims of the plane crash 20 years before. Donadio briefed a small group about the undertakings on the night of the disaster.
